17 Year Old Charged with Robbery

A Guelph teenager faces a robbery charge following an incident at a west-end pharmacy.

Just after 10 a.m. Saturday, a male entered the business wearing a black ski mask and began asking staff about opiates. When told he would need a prescription, the male began yelling and attempted to initiate a physical altercation. He also threatened to assault staff if police were called.

Eventually the male left the store and was located by police a short distance away. A 17-year-old Guelph male is charged with robbery and wearing a disguise while committing an offence. He will appear in court October 25.
