39 Year Old Woman Assaults Senior Neighbour

A Guelph woman was arrested Monday after a neighbour dispute led to an elderly male being struck in the face.

Just before 3 p.m. a male in his 70s called police. He had been involved in a verbal argument with a female who lives in the same Speedvale Avenue East apartment building. The argument escalated until the female struck him with both hands, causing minor injuries and breaking the male’s glasses. He was treated on scene by paramedics.

The female was located nearby and arrested. A 39-year-old Guelph woman is charged with assault. She will appear in a Guelph court September 12, 2023.
