For many, Aberfoyle Mill was more than just a restaurant – it was a place tied to memories, celebrations, and tradition. Now, after 35 years, that chapter is coming to a close.
After more than three decades serving the community, Aberfoyle Mill has announced it will be closing its doors.
In a message shared with customers, the restaurant expressed gratitude for the support it has received over the past 35 years, thanking patrons for the opportunity to be part of countless dining experiences and memories.
The announcement points to ongoing economic challenges in recent years, noting that conditions have not recovered to pre-COVID levels. According to the statement, these pressures have made operating within the industry increasingly difficult.
“With heavy hearts,” the message reads, the team confirmed they will be closing this chapter at the Mill.
The note was signed by John, Ron, and staff, marking the end of a long-standing local establishment known for its country charm and dining experience.
The closure represents another shift in the local restaurant landscape, as businesses continue to navigate rising costs and changing economic conditions.
