Arrested – Stolen Vehicle and 3 Counts of Breach of Probation

A Guelph male faces charges after he was observed driving a stolen box truck.

Approximately 1:15 a.m. Thursday, a male was stopped while driving a 2007 Ford box truck. The male was identified and sent on his way. Later that morning, the owner of a business on Elizabeth Street reported the truck had been stolen overnight.

The male was located just before midnight Thursday and arrested. He was found to be in possession of a cheque for more than $33,000 made out to a local religious organization.

A 44-year-old Guelph male is charged with two counts of possessing stolen property over $5,000 and three counts of breaching probation. He was held for a bail hearing Friday.
