Brampton Female Caught 136 km/h in a 60 km/h

A Brampton female was taken off the road after she was caught driving well in excess of twice the speed limit in Guelph Monday evening.

Just after 6 p.m. a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was conducting radar on Maltby Road West. He clocked a 2021 Mercedes travelling 136 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

A 20-year-old Brampton female is charged with speeding, stunt driving and failing to surrender her licence. Her licence was immediately suspended for 30 days and her vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

A conviction for stunt driving will lead to a minimum one-year licence suspension, $2,000 fine and six demerit points.
