Brampton Man Assaults Downtown Restaurant Staff – Again
A Brampton man who has repeatedly assaulted staff members at a downtown restaurant was arrested again Friday.
Just before 8 p.m. police were called to the business. A man who has been repeatedly banned from the business entered and spat on the floor. He left but then returned a short time later and began yelling death threats at one of the managers. He also threw a chair, striking another employee on the shins.
The same man had been arrested twice a week earlier. On December 30 he was arrested for assault after spitting in another employee’s face and shoving him. He was arrested again the following day for breaching a release term by returning to the restaurant and was eventually released on bail.
On Friday, the 20-year-old Brampton man was arrested for assault with a weapon, uttering threats and two counts of failing to comply with release conditions. He was held for another bail hearing Tuesday.
