Bus Shelters Vandalized Causing Thousands in Damages to Taxpayers

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after several bus shelters were vandalized with their advertising replaced by posters with political messaging.

On Wednesday officials with Guelph Transit reported an unknown number of shelters across the city had been targeted, with images of some shelters shared on social media. Some of the shelters have sustained damage which could be in the thousands of dollars.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Bernardus Ptok at 519-824-1212, ext. 7552, email him at bptok@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
