Caught at Double Speed Limit on Woolwich

A Guelph male was taken off the road Thursday after he was caught driving more than twice the posted speed limit.

Just before noon, a Guelph Police Service officer was conducting speed enforcement on Woolwich Street near Marilyn Drive when he clocked a vehicle travelling 84 km/h in a posted 40 km/h zone.

A 21-year-old Guelph male is charged with speeding and stunt driving. His driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
