A Guelph woman faces charges after images from a break-in at a childcare centre were shared on social media.
The afternoon of October 9, a man and woman were caught on surveillance video breaking into a shed at a business near Woodlawn Road West and Nicklin Road and stealing two wagons. They also stole a tarp which had been covering a sandbox.
Approximately 2:30 a.m. the next day the man was caught on video returning the two wagons to the property.
The owner of the business posted photos to Guelph’s largest online community, Caught in Guelph (and Area), leading to several users identifying the involved woman. On Wednesday a 35-year-old Guelph woman was located downtown and arrested for break and enter and theft under $5,000. She will appear in court December 1.
A 36-year-old Guelph man was arrested previously on similar charges. He will appear in court November 24.
