Charges for Selling Stolen Tools Online
A Guelph man who stole tools from his former landlord then posted them for sale online is facing charges.
On November 12, police were called to an address in the south end. The complainant advised he had evicted a boarder, but when the male was moving out he stole approximately $1,500 worth of power tools. The tools were later listed for sale from the suspect’s personal Facebook account.
On Tuesday a 21-year-old Guelph man turned himself in to the Guelph Police Service. He is charged with theft under $5,000 and possessing stolen property. He will appear in court February 9.
