Cheques Stolen From Break-in Later Used

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after cheques stolen during a break-in were later deposited into someone’s account.

On January 18, two people entered an underground parking garage in the area of Paisley and Ryde roads. After trying the door handles on several vehicles they managed to break into a storage locker, stealing several items including a box containing cheques.

Early this month, two of the cheques were deposited into an unknown person’s bank account.

The suspects were believed to be white females. The first was wearing a black coat with fur trim, knee-high black boots, black pants and a black backpack with a yellow Nike swoosh symbol. The second had dark hair in a bun and was wearing a black coat, plaid scarf, black pants, tan-coloured boots with fur trim, a Nike backpack and was carrying a red shopping bag.
