The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a south-end business sustained more than $10,000 in damage to its air conditioning units.
Just before 9 a.m. Monday police were called to a business near Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive after staff discovered damage to the units. Sometime over the Easter weekend suspects entered a fenced area at the rear of the business which houses three air conditioning units and electrical hookups for the business.
Copper wire and internal mechanical components were cut and removed from the units, rendering them inoperable and likely beyond repair. Damage is estimated at $3,500 to $4,500 per unit.
