Criminal Charges for Nightmare Neighbour
A Guelph man who has been the subject of dozens of complaints from neighbours now faces criminal charges.
During 2023, residents of a Waterloo Avenue apartment complex reported more than 30 instances of the man yelling, playing loud music, banging on their walls and floors, damaging their property and attempting to enter their units. Police have attended several times and warned the man to stop harassing his neighbours.
On Monday, the 25-year-old was arrested for three counts of mischief, three counts of criminal harassment and two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held for a bail hearing and has been released with conditions to stay away from the apartment building and have no contact with the victims. He will appear in court February 1.
