Double the Speed Limit

A Guelph male was taken off the road Tuesday after he was caught driving more than double the speed limit. A member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was conducting speed enforcement on College Avenue West near Rodney Boulevard just after 2 p.m. He clocked a vehicle travelling 83 km/h in a posted 40 km/h zone. A 22-year-old Guelph male is charged with stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
