Downtown Apartment Package Theft Caught on Security Video

What should have been a routine delivery turned into a headache for one downtown resident when her package disappeared less than an hour after it arrived. Now investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify a man seen on security video in the hallway around the time of the theft.

The Guelph Police Service continues to investigate after a package was stolen from the hallway of a downtown apartment building.

On December 3, 2025, a resident of an apartment building in the downtown area of Guelph reported a package had been stolen from outside her door. The package, which contained disassembled furniture, was delivered at approximately noon and stolen 30 minutes later.

Security video captured an image of a person of interest. He was described as a white male in his mid-20s to mid-30s, tall and thin with short brown hair. He was wearing a green winter jacket over a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, dark pants and black Nike running shoes.
