Drug Charge After Arrest on Warrant

Monday afternoon, officers on general patrol downtown spotted a male known to be wanted for failing to comply with a release order. He was placed under arrest and a subsequent search revealed a small amount of suspected cocaine in his pocket.
A 58-year-old Guelph male is further charged with possessing a controlled substance. He will appear in a Guelph court July 11, 2023.
