Early Morning Fire at Turtle Jack’s Restaurant

A blaze ignited at Turtle Jack’s eatery on Woodlawn Road on Tuesday morning. Caught in Guelph (and Area) member Kurtis Simpson first posted to the community of the event in the early hours of the morning.

A minimum of four fire engines were dispatched to the scene.

Multiple emergency calls reporting visible flames from the structure were received by the police, according to spokesperson Scott Tracey. He clarified that law enforcement was present solely for managing traffic.

Michael Chumbley, Mark Yzerman, Katherine Toll and other members were able to capture footage of the event showing flames erupting from the rooftop shortly before 9 a.m. The post has since garnered tens of thousands of views, several hundred reacts and hundreds of comments.
