The Guelph Police Service is investigating after an east-end business was entered early Wednesday after suspects cut a hole in a wall.
Just after 8 a.m. officers were called to a business near York Road and Victoria Road South after staff arriving for the day discovered the break-in.
Investigation revealed a large hole had been cut through a wall from a common hallway shared with other businesses. Cash and a quantity of animal medications were stolen. Some of the stolen property was recovered by police nearby.
Security video from a neighbouring business showed two people walking from the area just after 3 a.m. They appeared to be a male wearing a sweater with a light-coloured logo on the front, dark pants and dark boots and a female with a small build wearing a sweater with a reflective logo on the arm.
The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Emma Turney at 519-824-1212, ext. 7438, email eturney@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
