Female Arrested After Sleeping in Vehicle

On June 14th, 2023, at 7:40am, police were contacted by a concerned citizen regarding an adult female sleeping in the driver’s seat of a running motor vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph.

At 7:48am, police arrived on scene and observed the female asleep with her foot on the brake and the vehicle in reverse. Police woke the female up and began speaking with her. She stated that she had just driven a friend home.

Further investigation revealed that her driver’s license was suspended, and that the vehicle contained:

  • Over 40 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
  • $305 of Canadian currency
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Cutting agent
  • Small baggies

A 51-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:

  • Possession For The Purpose Of Trafficking
  • Drive While Under Suspension

She will appear in court on July 25th.
