Free Hillside Festival Tickets for Newly Landed Ukrainians

Listen to this article

In a heartwarming gesture, Hillside Festival in Guelph is offering complimentary entry for the recently relocated individuals from Ukraine and those providing them shelter and assistance, for the upcoming event from July 28–30.

Marie Zimmerman, the Executive Director of Hillside Festival, said in a news release, “Music has a unique power to soothe and heal. This is our humble attempt to create a connection between people and the music of their roots, and to integrate them into the compassionate festival community.”

Those Ukrainians who have just arrived and wish to join the festival should contact Isabella Asheber at eventassistant@hillsidefestival.ca and provide a name, an email address or mobile number for each participant before coordinating with a festival volunteer at the Hillside Main Gate.
