Guelph Convenience Store Robbed

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a convenience store was robbed Tuesday night.

Just after 10 p.m. police were called to the business near Eramosa Road and Victoria Road North. A male had entered the business and bought a can of pop, then while the clerk was completing the purchase the suspect jumped over the counter and began demanding money.

The suspect placed his hand inside a reusable bag to imply he had a weapon, though none was seen. He fled on foot with a small amount of cash. None of the employees or customers in the store sustained any physical injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’1” with an athletic build. He was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, dark shoes, a white surgical mask and a white cloth around his head.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Konrad Babol at 519-824-1212, ext. 7189, email him at kbabol@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
