Guelph Couple Charged Together for E-Bike Theft

A Guelph couple face charges after an e-bike was stolen last month from a downtown parking lot.

On January 29, the victim had locked the bike, valued at $2,000, to a concrete post behind a Macdonell Street business. Overnight, a male and female were caught on video lifting the bike up and over the concrete post before the male rode it away.

Both were located downtown Friday evening and arrested. A 39-year-old Guelph woman and 29-year-old Guelph man are charged with theft under $5,000. Both will appear in court April 5.
