A Guelph female faces several charges after two police officers were assaulted during a dispute Saturday.
Officers were called to a neighbour dispute at an address on Watson Road North and formed grounds to arrest a resident for criminal harassment. When officers attempted to arrest the female, she would not comply and actively resisted, scratching both officers’ wrists.
A 54-year-old Guelph female is charged with criminal harassment, resisting arrest and two counts of assaulting police. She will appear in a Guelph court August 4, 2023.
