Guelph Police Investigating Homicide at Woodlawn Rd Motel

The Guelph Police Service is investigating a homicide after a female was found dead on the weekend.

Just before 11 a.m. Sunday, emergency services were called to a motel on Woodlawn Road West near Woolwich Street. A female in her 50s was found deceased.

As a result of a post-mortem examination the death was determined to be a homicide. Officers have remained on scene since Sunday as the investigation continues.

At this point we are not aware of any threat to the community.
