Guelph Police Maintain Presence at North-end Home as Investigation Continues

A quiet cul-de-sac in Guelph’s north end has drawn sustained attention from investigators as police continue work at a Devonshire Place address. Officers first responded Monday morning, and the scene remained secured into Tuesday as the investigation unfolds.

Guelph police remain at a north-end residence for a second day as part of an active investigation, though officials say there is no risk to the public.

Officers were called to 9 Devonshire Place around 9 a.m. Monday, according to police spokesperson Scott Tracey. He confirmed that the nature of the original call is not being released at this time, and investigators are not searching for any suspects.

The incident was first shared to the Caught in Guelph (and Area) community by member Linda K-And before other select local media took notice of the story.

Devonshire Place is a small cul-de-sac near Woodlawn Road and Inverness Drive. As of Tuesday morning, police tape surrounded the front of the home with a cruiser positioned in the driveway. Additional tape was visible along the backyard fence, which backs onto Woodlawn Road, where another officer was stationed.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
