Born in Guelph in 2024, baby Orion is proudly representing his hometown in the Canada’s Baby of the Year Grand Finale 2024. After winning Favourite Baby of the Month in August 2024—securing a $100 cash prize and a $100 baby store gift card—Orion has now advanced to the final round. He is one of 12 babies competing for the grand prize of $1,000 cash, a $1,000 RESP, and a $500 grocery gift card.
Currently, Orion is in second place, behind Hagersville’s Cohan Barker, he has held the top spot in this neck-and-neck competition. With voting open every 24 hours until March 31st at midnight, every vote counts in helping Orion secure the title.
Winning this title would mean so much for Orion’s future and his family. His parents, Garrett Gordon, born and raised in Guelph, and Alexandra, originally from Iceland but now building a family in Guelph, are overwhelmed by the incredible support they have received from the community.
Orion is a happy, adventurous baby who adores playing with his big sister and chasing after the family cats. He is eager to walk and already climbing on everything, determined to keep up with his sister—who will celebrate her 5th birthday just four days before Orion turns one in April 2025. Their shared sense of humor, big smiles, and infectious laughter make them quite the duo!
Supporters can follow Team Orion: Canada’s Baby of the Year on Facebook for updates and voting reminders. Every vote brings Orion closer to the title—let’s make Guelph proud!
Vote daily until March 31st and help Orion become Canada’s Baby of the Year!
