Guelph’s “Hope in the Street” Festival Returns

The annual Hope in the Street festival returns tonight, bringing live music, food and family fun to Spring Mill Distillery, 43 Arthur Street South.

Running from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., the event raises funds for Hope House, a Guelph non-profit that supports individuals and families facing poverty and food insecurity.

This year’s lineup features U.N. Jefferson, 13th Rib, and Sons of the Dusk, offering a mix of funk, soul and rock. Families can also enjoy balloon twisting, face painting and henna tattoos throughout the evening.

Food vendors will be serving up local favourites, while beer and spirits will be available on site. Admission is by cash donation at the gate, with all proceeds going directly to Hope House programs. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles, as plastic bottles will not be sold at the venue.

Organizers say the festival is about more than music and entertainment — it’s about community coming together for a good cause.
