Hit & Run, Pedestrian Struck by Tesla

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a woman was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, a 20-year-old from the Barrie area, reported she was crossing Oak Street at Gordon Street approximately 12:30 p.m. when she was struck by a light-coloured Tesla. The driver of the Tesla fled the scene without checking on the victim or providing any information.

The pedestrian suffered minor lower-body injuries. It is believed the Tesla sustained front-end damage.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage or other information is asked to contact Constable Mike Powell of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit at mpowell@guelphpolice.ca.
