The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a home was entered while the owner was away.

Thursday afternoon, a homeowner near Victoria Road North and Eastview Road called police. The owner is in the process of moving to another city and came home after a few days to find a bedroom screen removed and the window unlocked.

Several boxes of belongings which had been packed were rummaged through but it is not known if anything was stolen. A computer was removed from the home and found outside in a wagon which had been removed from a shed.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Staff Sergeant David Caron at 519-824-1212, ext. 7128, email him at dcaron@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
