Hope in the Street Event Sets New Records

Hope in the Street celebrated a record-breaking year in 2025, raising $54,586 in support of Hope House Guelph. The annual community festival took place on September 19 at Spring Mill Distillery, drawing the largest turnout in the event’s history.
Hope in the Street is a family-friendly street festival featuring live music, local food and drink vendors, and children’s activities. Admission is by cash donation, with all proceeds directed to Hope House Guelph, a local non-profit that serves individuals and families facing poverty and food insecurity.
Hope House operates a wide range of community programs, including a community food market, back-to-school backpack program, community kitchen, hair salon, and counselling supports. In a typical year, more than 7,000 individuals access Hope House services, with thousands of free meals provided and hundreds of children supported with school supplies. Funds raised at Hope in the Street go directly toward sustaining and expanding these services in Guelph.
The 2025 festival was the first under the leadership of Co-Chair Rob Osburn & Co-Chair Shannon Ostetto. Organizers also introduced refreshed promotional strategies, which helped expand the event’s reach and contributed to the record attendance and fundraising total.
In a statement released after the festival, organizers said: “A record breaking year! Together, we raised $54,586 to support Hope House Guelph’s incredibly important mission. The impact this has on our community is huge. And we had a lot of fun doing it! A major THANK YOU to all who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored and supported Hope in the Street 2025. See you next September, Guelph!”
Planning is already underway for next year’s event, ensuring the tradition of combining community celebration with meaningful local impact continues.
