Living with a host family in Canada enriches the student’s educational and travel experience and allows for a greater understanding of Canada, its culture and its heritage.

Host families provide an English immersion environment, friendship, support and guidance to program participants as well as an additional level of supervision in a safe and caring atmosphere.

While in Canada, the students live with English speaking “host” families. Living with a host family in Canada enriches the student’s educational and travel experience and allows for a greater understanding of Canada, its culture and its heritage. Daily interaction within the family encourages international students to practice English language skills in a comfortable environment. Accommodation and meals are provided by the families.

The benefits and rewards of hosting a Canada Linc student are numerous. Not only do host families learn about another culture and share Canadian hospitality with their guests, but new and lasting friendships often develop. Canadian teens studying another language may get a chance to practice language skills with their visiting student and many host families have traveled abroad to visit the families of their students.
