Impaired Driver at FOUR Times Legal Limit

Approximately 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to a west-end address after a witness observed a male stop his car and stumble towards his residence. Officers spoke to a male and observed him to be unsteady on his feet.

He was arrested and transported to the police station, where breath tests revealed he had more than four times the legal amount of alcohol in his system. Investigation also revealed he is currently bound by two driving prohibitions.
A 62-year-old Guelph male is charged with impaired operation and two counts of driving while prohibited. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
