A Cornwall man faces an impaired driving charge after staff at a north-end bar were unable to stop him from driving.
Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, staff of an establishment on Woodlawn Road West saw a man walking to his truck and attempted to stop him from driving. The man got into the driver’s seat and started the vehicle before opening the door and vomiting on the ground.
He was just exiting the parking lot when officers arrived and stopped the vehicle.
A 25-year-old Cornwall man is charged with impaired driving and breaching a probation order. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. He will appear in court September 9.
