Knife Pulled on South-end Store Employee

A Guelph man faces assault and weapons charges after a store employee had a knife pulled on him Tuesday.

Shortly after 3 p.m. an employee of a business near Gordon Street and Harvard Road was informed of a male inside yelling obscenities at customers. When the employee went to ask the male to leave the business, he pulled a knife from his pocket and waved it at the employee in a threatening manner.

The male left the business but was located a short distance away and arrested. A 45-year-old Guelph man is charged with assault with a weapon, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon. He will appear in court April 16.
