London Area Man Arrested for Guelph Car Theft
A man has been arrested six months after a car was stolen from the owner’s Guelph workplace.
Last July 13, just before 7 p.m., several men attended a west-end business. While two of them distracted an employee, another stole a set of car keys which had been set down on a counter. The men left the business and searched the parking lot, locating and stealing the victim’s car.
Approximately one hour later a credit card which had been inside the vehicle was used to make two purchases in Oxford County. One of the males was identified from the surveillance video and was arrested Saturday morning outside of Guelph.
A 26-year-old man from the London area is charged with theft of motor vehicle, unauthorized use of a credit card and several counts of breaching court orders. He will appear in court March 12.
