On Victoria Rd in Guelph, Ontario, residents were awakened by a sudden and unexpected watermain break in the early hours of the morning. The rupture caused substantial flooding, impacting traffic and leading to emergency road closures.

City workers responded quickly. Many local homes in the east end were temporarily left without water or low water pressure.

Good morning #guelph ! The media office is learning of a major watermain break on Victoria. Victoria Road North is closed from Brunswick to Eastview. As of 3am, officers were told this closure will be most of the day.
