Male Arrested for Break and Enter

A Guelph man has been arrested after he was caught leaving a vacant house.

Police were called at 8:30 p.m. Sunday to the home near Metcalfe Street and Emma Street after a witness saw a man climbing the fence into the backyard and then entering a basement window. Officers were on scene a short time later when the man was seen leaving the house and he was placed under arrest.

A 33-year-old Guelph man is charged with break and enter. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
