Male Arrested for 4th Indecent Act After Following Female

A Guelph male was arrested after following a female while touching himself early Sunday.

Just before 7 a.m. a female in her 50s was walking her dog near Woolwich Street and Marilyn Drive when she observed a male walking behind her while hiding his face. She crossed the street to avoid him, but the male continued in the same direction.

When the female looked back a second time the male was still covering his face while touching himself over his pants. The female yelled at him and he ran away, but was located by police a short time later.

A 32-year-old Guelph male is charged with committing an indecent act, criminal harassment and breaching probation. Investigation revealed he is on bail for outstanding matters including three counts of committing an indecent act.

He was held for a bail hearing and has been released by the court to appear on July 28, 2023.
