
Male Arrested in Series of Break & Enters

In June 2023, members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft (BEAT) Unit began an investigation into a recent series of both residential and commercial break and enters that occurred near the downtown core of the City of Guelph.
Investigation revealed the identity of the responsible adult male.
On June 20th, at 7:53pm, the male was arrested just outside the downtown core, and a search warrant was executed at his residence. A search incident to arrest and the search of the residence revealed break in instruments and numerous pieces of stolen property including identity documents, keys, jewelry, and financial documents.
A 22-year-old Guelph male has been charged with:
- Break, Enter And Commit x4
- Disguise With Intent
- Attempt Break And Enter x3
- Possession Of Break In Instruments
- Possession Of Identity Documents x3
- Possession Of Property Obtained By Crime
- Breach Probation
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing on June 21st and was subsequently released.
He will appear in court on July 14th.
