Male Charged in Downtown Guelph Hit & Run

A Clifford male has been charged after a pedestrian was struck in downtown Guelph earlier this year.

Just after 9 a.m. April 25, an adult male was crossing Macdonell Street at Wyndham Street North when he was struck and knocked down by a vehicle making a left turn. The driver stopped briefly before leaving the scene.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

An 18-year-old Clifford male is charged with failing to stop at an accident and careless driving. He was held for a bail hearing and has been released to appear in court June 27, 2023.
