Male Charged – Various Offences, 2 Break-ins

A Guelph male has been arrested in connection with two recent break-ins, including one to a place of worship.

Approximately 1 a.m. June 8, someone broke into a religious building near Edinburgh Road South and Water Street. A donation box was smashed open and a quantity of cash stolen.

On June 10, just after 7 p.m., a male entered a business near Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue West. He hid inside for more than two hours until the business closed, then broke into a secure area and stole approximately $4,500 worth of cash and product.

On Tuesday morning a male was located downtown and arrested.

A 34-year-old Guelph male is charged with two counts of break and enter and four counts of breaching probation orders. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
