Man Arrested After Extensive Damage to Guelph General Hospital

A Guelph man has been arrested after more than $5,000 in damage was done to Guelph General Hospital earlier this month.

On November 12 a male was receiving treatment when he became irate and began causing damage. He kicked an electronic door causing it to become inoperable, pulled a fire alarm from the wall and damaged drywall and ceiling panels.

On Wednesday the male was located by officers during an unrelated investigation and arrested. A 24-year-old Guelph man is charged with mischief over $5,000 and breaching probation. He will appear in court January 16.
