Man Stabbed Outside His Home, Transported to Trauma Centre

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a male was injured in a stabbing outside his home Sunday night.

Approximately 9:20 p.m. police were called to a residence near Eramosa Road and Speedvale Avenue East. The caller advised two males had attacked her 25-year-old son when he went outside to speak to them.

He sustained lacerations to his abdomen and arm and was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre. He has since been treated and released. Police believe the incident was targeted and a knife was recovered at the scene.

One of the males was described as 5’9” with a heavy build and wearing a brown t-shirt. The second was wearing a hoody and sunglasses. They arrived in a newer-model grey Dodge Charger.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Jennifer Probst at 519-824-1212, ext. 7296, email her at jprobst@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
