Masked Man with Knife Robs West-End Guelph Gas Station

The employee was not physically injured, and no customers were in the store. Police searched the area with a canine unit but did not find the suspect.

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a masked man armed with a knife robbed a west-end gas station early Monday.

At approximately 3:50 a.m., police were called to a business near Willow Road and Silvercreek Parkway North. A man entered the store, approached the counter with a kitchen-style knife and demanded money. He took a small quantity of cash before leaving the store and running east across Silvercreek Parkway.

The employee was not physically injured and no customers were inside the store at the time.

The man was described as tall with a heavier build. He was wearing black clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt and face covering, and may have been wearing a red hat. A police canine unit searched the area but did not locate him.
