Mike Schreiner Places Last in Leaders’ Debate Poll

A recent Pallas Data poll shows that Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford was the clear winner of Ontario’s 2025 leaders’ debate, while Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner finished in last place with the lowest support among all leaders.

Among respondents who watched the entire debate, 37% said Ford won, followed by 22% for Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie, 16% for NDP Leader Marit Stiles, and just 7% for Schreiner, putting him at the bottom of the rankings.

For those who only viewed debate clips online, Crombie narrowly edged out Ford, 30% to 29%, while Stiles received 15%. Schreiner again placed dead last, with only 6% of respondents selecting him as the winner.

The poll also found that 55% of Ontarians said the debate did not change their voting decision, and 16% didn’t watch it at all.

During the debate, Ford faced criticism from his opponents on housing affordability. Crombie accused him of failing to address the crisis, while Stiles pointed to rising homelessness. Schreiner, despite placing last in the poll, also attacked Ford’s housing policies, claiming they benefit land speculators rather than affordable housing solutions.

Despite the criticisms, Ford defended his record, maintaining that his government is actively working to boost housing supply.

The Pallas Data poll surveyed 1,200 Ontarians between February 18 and 19, 2025, with a margin of error of ±2.8 percentage points.
