More Lottery Tickets and Cigarettes Stolen from Variety Store Break-ins

The Guelph Police Service is investigating two variety store break-ins early Friday which appeared to target cigarettes. It is not known if they are related.

Approximately 3:20 a.m. police were called to a business near Fife Road and Elmira Road South after the owner received an alarm notification on his phone and could see three men inside the business removing product. A large quantity of cigarettes as well as lottery tickets and cash were stolen.

The three males were all wearing masks and gloves. One wore a blue sweater and green or grey jeans and the other two were wearing black. They left the scene in a black four-door Infiniti.

Twenty minutes later, police were called to a business near Eastview Road and Watson Parkway North. Again the owner received a mobile alert and could see a live feed of individuals inside the business. Approximately $15,000 worth of cigarettes as well as cash was stolen.
