A routine pause between deliveries turned into a major loss when a running vehicle was taken right from outside a Stone Road business. Security footage captured the quick, coordinated theft, leaving police looking for the suspect and reminding residents how fast auto theft can happen.
A pizza delivery driver saw his shift end early Wednesday after his car was stolen from in front of the restaurant.
Just after 6 p.m. police were called to a business on Stone Road West. A 2002 Toyota Camry had been left running outside while the owner prepared his next delivery inside the business. When he went outside the car was gone. His wallet and phone were inside, as well as a debit machine and iPad owner by the store.
Security video showed another vehicle stopping behind the stolen one. A passenger exited that vehicle, got into the Toyota and drove away. He was described as a white male with an average build and wearing a hoodie with the hood up.
