A Guelph woman was arrested following a home invasion-style robbery in the east end Sunday morning.
Just after 2 a.m. police were called to an address near Watson Parkway North and Starwood Drive. A resident said several people had entered his apartment and dragged him out of bed. He was sprayed with bear spray and robbed of his wallet and a diamond ring. The intruders also claimed to have a gun but none was seen.
Security cameras showed three men arriving at the building in a black sedan and entering with a woman who was already on scene. Minutes later all four are seen fleeing in the sedan at a high rate of speed.
A few hours after the incident a 35-year-old Guelph woman was arrested for break and enter, robbery, assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance. She was held for a bail hearing Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing.
