The Guelph Police Service is investigating and seeking witnesses after staff members at a west-end business were threatened by a knife-wielding male Sunday.
Just before 6 p.m., a male entered a business near Silvercreek Parkway North and Willow Road while holding a knife and repeatedly yelling that he had a knife. A staff member began following the male while advising customers to stay away from him. The male threatened to stab the employee before eventually leaving the store.
The male was described as white, in his 30s, 5’5” with blue eyes, blonde hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black winter jacket with the hood pulled up over a baseball hat. He was holding a chef-style knife approximately 20 centimetres in length with a green handle.
The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Cameron Keddie at 519-824-1212, ext. 7431, email him at ckeddie@guelphpolice.ca, leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
