A Guelph female who was placed on house arrest for permanently disfiguring a Guelph Police Service officer has been arrested for repeatedly breaching her sentence.
In November 2020, Guelph Police Service officers were arresting a female for assault when she bit one officer’s hand, severing a tendon and leaving him with permanent damage. The officer has not been able to return to normal duties since.
Last August, the female was sentenced to 18 months of house arrest, with a condition she only leave her residence for four hours each Saturday to obtain necessities. Four times last week Guelph Police Service officers observed her out of her residence in violation of the sentence order.
A 39-year-old Guelph female is charged with five counts of breaching a conditional sentence order. She was held for a bail hearing Monday.
